VISION

A professional association of Unitarian Universalist administrators that is recognized and respected by the UUA and congregations at large. Guided by the UU principles, the AUUA advances professionalism of its members and promotes administrative best practices within UU congregations.

The AUUA exists to develop and promote high professional and ethical standards for association members. We strive to:

  1. Participate actively in the programs of the UUA and other professional organizations
  2. Encourage and assist in the establishment of local (regional) chapters of AUUA and the sharing of experiences and wisdom with each other
  3. Support administrators of UU organizations in fulfilling their responsibilities
  4. Provide resources and support to lay leaders who are responsible for administrative tasks in their churches

Church-admin-uu LISTSERV

The AUUA maintains a LISTSERV, or electronic mailing list, for professional, preferably paid, church administrators or the primary lay office support person. This is a closed list; potential subscribers must be approved.

To subscribe:

Every subscription to this closed list must be approved. After you have pushed the “subscribe” button that includes your name, position, society, city, and state, send an email containing the same information to the Administrator of the AUUA (admin@auua.org). This will make the approval process easier and quicker.
